Skydive New England knows how to throw a party. For Emma Pickard’s Birthday the gang threw a PROM party in honor of Emma and the fact she missed out on her own Prom. Nothing like seeing the regular DZ folk clean up for pictures. Mighty fine looking bunch. This is surely to be a yearly event based on the fun meter for the night. Amazing how easy it is to set up a theme party photo booth. Emma, looked absolutely stunning as did the rest of the cast. A Party and celebration not to be missed. Thanks gang! Great fun. HP
Super Hero Theme Party Photo Booth
July 4th! at Skydive New England Staff and locals couldn’t resist the idea of another theme party and here we are just a month later and they are lining up for more pictures. This time the Super Hero Theme Party Photo Booth is in full swing to capture our true hero’s in rare form, not seem by the public’s eye. I love this place. Thanks again guys! Enjoy! HP
Andrew Cohen – Commissioned Portraiture
Again blessed with timing an incredible opportunity opened up seemingly out of now where. In the midst of hasty, last minute grabs of staying on track through the nomadic transition of spring, my community of fellow evolutionaries invited me to photograph Andrew Cohen of EnlightenNext. The timing was more then perfect and my final schedule actually and perfectly coincided with their schedule and last minute deadline. This was my first true commissioned work on such a notable and …
Skydiving Portraiture Team Four Play and Skydive New England
On location studio lighting is simply amazing. On my quest and project for some serious skydiving portraiture I pulled a new four way team out from the beer line for some quick shots at Skydive New England. They are training for The Skydiving U.S. Nationals competition in August and what better way to support them but with some great photos, right? As usual the day ran late into the sunset so we missed the most of the sunset, but there was just enough to make it work. Love this stuff. HP
Cultural Portrait Documentation | Skydivers
So a while back, while intensely reading my Rangefinder and bumming that I couldn’t go to WPPI this year, I thought about my biggest and closest community, colleges and crazies. I came across several articles that were incredibly inspiring. They always seem to pop up again and again. The greats, those photographers who did something simple, set a trend, preserved a section in time of our heritage, of culture itself. You know what I am talking about, the greats like Ansel Adams for outdoor photography and the like. The other articles that catch my attention are the projects. Where photogs actually think of something to do as opposed to just chasing, working, following. A project, an idea, something to sink …
