This November I was fortunate enough to actually summit Mt. Washington in New Hampshire and the highest peak in Northeastern United States. According to Wikipedia “Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288 ft (1,917 m). It is famous for its dangerously erratic weather, and long held the record for the highest wind gust directly measured at the Earth’s surface, 231 mph (372 km/h) (or 103 m/s), on the afternoon of April 12, 1934.” “The mountain is located in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains, in Coos County, New Hampshire. It’s been a while, but the trip seems like yesterday. Back in 2007 I was blessed with the rare opportunity to see the Caribbean from the perspective of family and luxury. A tropical, pirate Christmas in the Virgin Islands. Sailboats, Crystal Clear waters on an island unplugged from the matrix spent with a family I have known for many years, accepting me as one of their own. I soaked up as much time and memories as I could. Up at dawn, yoga on the deck, a quick swim in crystal warm waters and then back up to the house for some scrabble with Toni, Wally, Jeannie and Johnny, my incredible hosts, friends and family.
