Skydive Perris Valley – Content Delivery And Sales System

THPSkydiving, Workflow

Kate Coooper and Dan BC from P3 Skydiving Debrief JumpersSkydive Perris Valley has the coolest debrief and sales system.

Imagine hitting the ground from the dive and before you are done packing your buddy is watching the dive on his cell phone before the organizers have even seen it!! How cool is that? Once on the ground the new “Da Bomb Debrief System” is amazing. Check out the quick video below.

Fellow big way cameraman George Katsoulis utilized high-speed servers and then wrote a program he calls “Copy Kat” to make the life of the cameraman easy.  Simply sit down, take out your video memory card and plug it into the server.  Once you configure your info, jump number, name, sector and day, you hit copy, done.  That’s it.  The server takes care of the rest.  We don’t even see or talk to the organizers. Now every TV at the DZ hooked to the system can instantly scroll to that jumps video and watch all the angles from the dive.  Within minutes the video is rendered in hi-res and low-res and uploaded to the website, www.skydivingphotography.com. Before there is enough time to pack your chute and head to the debrief room, jumpers are already watching the dive angles on their phones.

The website is totally custom-made for this purpose by skydivers for skydivers and I am sure it’s application to other BIG events is just a simple customization away.  It’s readily available to DZ’s across the country for debriefing and sales utilizing the site.

One of the coolest functions I found is the ability to utilize slow motion while zooming into the footage and toggle around the picture.  Just like you do on the back of your camera with a still image, only this is moving video, totally cool.  Due to the fact we are shooting at max camera resolution the picture is amazingly clear. There is NO hiding in a dive with this footage. This is the easiest and most powerful system for delivering content I have ever come across.  All the content, video and stills are immediately organized on the site for view and sales.  For the working cameraman it’s an almost totally hands off process.

The one piece of information I do not go over in this video is the sales power of this system.   Once video or images are uploaded they can be sold on the photographers benefit.  There is even a coupon available that boosts sales naturally.

The system is open to other dropzone through the website making events, teams and cameraman’s needs a much easier process.

Make sure to get in touch with George Katsoulis for more info.
